Summer is just around the corner now! Next in our Meet the Counselors series is Filip. Filip is excited to jump in the deep end of camp and help coach the campers in swim class! He loves learning new skills and having new experiences and is ready to venture to the United States for the first time.
Tell us a little about where you are from, describing it for those who are likely never to have been there before. If you have out-of-town visitors, where do you take them?
I am from Wysoka, little village near Krakow. If I have some visitors I would take them to Wadowice. Wadowice is the town that is famous for being Pope Jan Pawel II’s hometown.
What do you do for work/studies?
I have my own swimming school in Wadowice. Before I started my bussines I finished Economic High School in Wadowice.
It's karaoke night, what song are you singing?
A few weeks ago I was with my girlfriend in the cinema and after the film she started singing “Unwritten” by Natasha Bedingfield all day and now this song is stuck in my mind. So if it karaoke night i would sing this song.
What would campers be surprised to learn about you?
All the kids will be laughing at me because I look like a 40 years man but I am only 21 😂
What are you most looking forward to this summer?
I’m looking forward to meeting new people at camp of course and also gaining experience in teaching children swimming. After camp ends I’m excited to visit NYC.

What is your favorite book you've ever read?
The Art of War by Sun Tzu.

My mum Ania works in office and my dad Jasiek has his own building company. My sister Asia jas just graduated school.
