A Camp Spring Creek summer is life-changing for our campers. But the kind of one-on-one attention we’re able to provide for each child requires a significant commitment of resources.

Tuition covers a significant portion, but not all of the actual per-camper of attendance. To make up the difference, purchase equipment, create special programs and cover scholarships, we need your help. Please consider donating to make a Camp Spring Creek summer possible for a deserving child. There are several ways you can help.

Annual Fund

This fund is used for operational costs and special programming that enhances the camp experience.

Steve’s Summer Scholarship Fund

The Steve’s Summer Scholarship Fund is an endowed fund established in 2018 in honor of our co-director Steve van der Vorst. Your gift goes toward a $200,000 endowment to fund an annual scholarship available to cover the cost of camp for one child with financial need each summer.

The Carl D. North Scholarship Fund

This need-based scholarship helps to supplement the cost of attending camp for deserving students.

Local Scholarship

Camp Spring Creek is committed to giving back to our community. Through our local scholarship, WNC campers with financial need get help to attend Camp Spring Creek as day campers. We are always looking for community organizations to partner with to sponsor local campers.

The Harris Family Endowment

Add to this fund, which offers tuition help to campers who have attended for at least one summer and paid full tuition. In addition to financial need, campers must have a strong record of engagement and progress.

One By One Intitiative

Training teacher and tutors in multisensory education and multisensory methods is central to Camp Spring Creek’s mission. This program trains educators in Western North Carolina in Orton-Gillingham methods and provides classroom support in the way of classroom tutors and teacher mentoring.
