Camp Spring Creek was founded in 2003 in Bakersville, North Carolina by Susie and Steve van der Vorst.

Veterans of Camp Dunnabeck and Durango Mountain Camp, Susie and Steve wanted to offer students with dyslexia a chance to learn and grow over the summer in the beautiful Western North Carolina mountains. Since our beginning, Camp Spring Creek has provided a life-changing summer experience for hundreds of campers.
